Music may be the heart of every performance, but small gestures can make a performer feel more connected with the audience. The Action Bar contains a variety of avatar animations that can be used before, during, and after a performance.
Like everything else on stage, these actions are optional. They are simply tools that can help make a performance feel more natural and engaging.
Wave
A simple wave is a wonderful way to acknowledge your audience.
Many performers like to wave as they first walk onto the stage, greeting everyone before the music begins. It can also be used after introducing yourself or after returning to the stage following a brief break.
A friendly wave is a small gesture that says, “I’m happy you’re here.”
Bow
A bow is a traditional way of thanking an audience after a performance.
Whether your song received thunderous applause or was simply shared among friends, taking a moment to bow shows appreciation for everyone who spent a few minutes listening.
Many performers choose a bow immediately after the music ends, before leaving the stage.
Polite Bow
The Polite Bow offers a more reserved expression of gratitude.
Some performers may prefer it after a quiet ballad, a heartfelt original song, or any performance where a gentle, respectful acknowledgment feels more appropriate than a dramatic gesture.
There is no right or wrong choice—use whichever feels most natural for your performance style.
Clap
Clapping isn’t just for performers—it’s one of the easiest ways for audience members to encourage those on stage.
If you enjoy a performance, don’t hesitate to applaud. Even in a virtual venue, applause lets performers know their music has been heard and appreciated.
A few moments of applause can go a long way toward making someone feel welcome and encouraging them to perform again.
Keep It Natural
Actions are most effective when they support the moment rather than distract from it. A wave before the song, a bow afterward, and applause from the audience are simple touches that help create the feeling of a live performance.
As new actions become available, you may discover additional ways to express yourself. For now, these four are excellent additions to your Action Bar and are all worth becoming familiar with before stepping onto the Crafters Warehouse stage.
