Helping Every Performance Run Smoothly
Crafters Warehouse wants performers to feel welcome, prepared and respected. These guidelines are intended to protect the experience of the performer, the audience and the people helping organize the event.
They are not meant to limit creativity. They give everyone a shared understanding of what to expect.
Scheduling Your Performance
All performances should be scheduled in advance with Taz or Veronica.
When requesting a date, please provide:
- Your performer or DJ name
- The type of performance you are planning
- Your preferred date and time
- The approximate length of the performance
- Your preferred performance space
- Any special technical or promotional requirements
A requested date is not considered reserved until it has been confirmed.
Please do not advertise an appearance at Crafters Warehouse before receiving confirmation.
The Stage and The Forge
The Stage is intended for public community performances, premieres, DJ events and larger scheduled gatherings.
The Forge is intended for smaller private performances presented to invited friends and guests.
Use only the space assigned to your performance unless another arrangement has been approved.
Prepare Your Music and Presentation
Performers are responsible for preparing and testing their music, links, streams, animations and other presentation elements before the scheduled show.
Whenever possible, visit the venue ahead of time to become familiar with the space and identify any potential problems.
Please provide promotional information, photographs or links by the requested deadline. Material received late may not be included in event advertising.
Arrive Early
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled performance unless another arrival time has been arranged.
Arriving early gives us time to confirm that you are present, resolve last-minute issues and begin the show on schedule.
If you expect to be late, contact Taz or Veronica as soon as possible.
Respect the Schedule
Begin and end your performance at the agreed-upon times. Another performer or DJ may be scheduled immediately before or after you.
Do not substantially extend your show without permission. If you would like more time for a future performance, we will be happy to discuss it when scheduling your next appearance.
Content and Audience Awareness
RLC is an adult community, and Crafters Warehouse allows room for mature entertainment. However, performers should describe the nature of their planned show accurately when scheduling it.
Please advise us in advance if a performance contains strongly sexual material, potentially disturbing themes or content that may require a special event description. This allows us to promote the show honestly and place it in the most appropriate space and time.
Content that attacks, humiliates or targets individuals or groups is not welcome.
Respect Other Performers
Please do not talk over, disrupt or deliberately draw attention away from another person’s performance.
Performers should be able to share their work without ridicule, unwanted drama or competition from people attempting to turn the attention toward themselves.
Differences in musical taste are natural. Disrespectful conduct is not.
Cancellations
We understand that real-life circumstances come first and plans sometimes change.
If you must cancel, notify Taz or Veronica as early as possible. Adequate notice gives us an opportunity to adjust the schedule and inform visitors.
Repeated cancellations without reasonable notice may affect our ability to reserve future performance dates.
Photography and Recording
Event photography may take place during public performances. We will make reasonable efforts to tell performers when photographs or recordings are planned for promotional or historical use.
If you have concerns about being photographed or recorded, please discuss them with us before the performance.
Performers and guests should also obtain permission before making recordings intended for publication.
Conduct During Events
Crafters Warehouse is committed to a welcoming, drama-free environment.
Harassment, deliberate disruption, personal attacks and disrespect toward performers, staff or guests may result in removal from the venue. Serious or repeated problems may affect future participation.
Music and Permission
Performers are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate permission to use and publicly present their chosen music, recordings, images and other creative material.
Songs displayed in the Crafters Warehouse Music Room should not automatically be assumed available for performance. Please obtain permission from the song’s creator or coordinate with Taz or Veronica before including one in your show.
Most Important of All
Come prepared to enjoy yourself and help the audience enjoy the experience with you.
A performance does not need to be flawless to be memorable. Preparation, consideration and respect matter far more than perfection.
